Friends of Trail River Ranch (FoTRR) Mission Statement

The Friends of Trail River Ranch is a subcommittee under Rocky Mountain Conservancy (RMC). Our mission is to develop, offer and promote educational programs on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park, and maintain the facilities at Trail River Ranch.

FoTRR Vision

      • To attract and introduce people to Rocky Mountain National Park and its gateway communities.
      • To provide enjoyment and education to current and future generations and earn stewardship support for the Park.
      • To maintain an environmentally friendly habitat for positive public use.
      • To create an economically sustainable business model for these initiatives.

FoTRR Programs:

In 2012 and 2013 the FoTRR have provided a variety of unique educational opportunities at Trail River Ranch by partnering with Grand County resources and associations.  In 2012 three outdoor education programs were offered. By the end of September 2013, more than 20 activities were held at Trail River Ranch.

Highlights from our 2013 programs were: a family fly fishing day, sponsored by Trout Unlimited; a two-day wildflowers and watercolors workshop a Mozart, Munchies and Maybe a Moose concert); and a three-day Writers Workshop  in partnership with local lodging.
